The park was built in 1980 and comprises 1145 km2. Here, you will find the highest mountains of northern Europe with 255 peaks over 2’000 meters.
The park offers free movement on foot or on skis and has well-marked trails and a rich bird and wild animal life, including golden eagle, reindeer, moose, deer and roe deer.
